Dear Pieter,

FOR SOME TIME NOW I HAVE HELD THE SUSPICION THAT THE WORD “LIBERAL” HAS BEEN HIJACKED. IT’S BEEN HIJACKED BY KIDS WHO ESSENTIALLY NEVER UNDERWENT EDUCATION AT ‘U.O.L.r.’ - (that is : University Of Life and realism)
WHAT WE SIT WITH TODAY ARE MOSTLY POPULARITY CONTESTANTS WHO KNOW THAT HOLDING VIEWS WHICH EVEN REMOTELY REMIND ANY OF US OF STARK REALITY IS NOT POPULAR, AND SO THEY’LL HOOT AND TOOT THEIR NAIVE RUBBISH UPON ANY STAGE AVAILABLE.
I AM NOT ENTIRELY CERTAIN AS TO WHY THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE SO FOND OF DOING WHAT THEY DO BUT I DO KNOW THAT EVENTUALLY THEY END UP DOING IT MERELY IN ORDER TO GET ATTENTION - EVEN IF THAT MEANS MILKING THE NEW POLITICAL SYNDROM OF :

“Hafkdin FSA”

(that is : Hot Air and Fake Knowledge draped in Naivety for the sake of Attention)

Sufferers of this condition will seek out controversy to the extend where it becomes more preferable to role in puke rather than to continue giving them what they crave “Attention”.

I believe ya lil ‘newspaper’ serves as a sort of club for the “Hafkdin FSA” sufferers. You sit around and tell each other what a noble cause you carry - liberating the staunch Afrikaners from their cramped ways - but the fact is, I believe it is you Pieter, you and your fellow Narpers colleagues who need a healthy dose of realism hey ? what do you say ?
I mean I would hate for it to get to the point where your partner and loved one is sodomized and murdered - like in the case of F.W. de klerk before you come with tear filled eyes and declare that now ‘you’ve had enough !!’
Or imagine your employer (who until recently still considered you lot at Beeld to immature to let you have your own web presence) decides to do away with the Language it’s written in altogether ... would you then arrive and tell us from some obscure liberation web page that you’d like to “..fight for Afrikaans” ?

your views .... they’re not liberal, your knowledge is not extensive and you yourself are truly journalist, it’s virtually impossible for you to be sincere.
If I was to put your mental profile through a reductionist process, I have very lil doubt, that your one prominent attribute in your social approach is not at all ‘verligtheid’, you are simply NAIVE.
